Issue 43 of Weather eye magazine have been sent out to subscribers. Below are my latest thoughts on the Weather for Friday and the Weekend issued at 21.30 hrs on the 26th May 2022.
Friday will be a fine day with some sunshine and a max of 21C. The wind should be fairly light so a good day to get out and about. Dry overnight too with a low of 7C to 8C.
Saturday should be mostly dry if rather cooler with a northerly wind developing making east coast areas rather bracing. Here there could be a few showers. Sunday will be cooler everywhere and there will be a scattering of showers. The maximum temperature only around 13C to 14C..The wind will be quite brisk from the north or north east.

The Chipstead Valley weather station lies within a dry, chalkland valley on the dip slope of the North Downs. The valley is around 60 metres deep.
As the temperature reached over 28C in parts of East Anglia such as Southend heavy showers developed.. At Great Yeldham in Essex a ferocious hailstorm swept across the village around 4PM. Hailstones fell the size of chicken eggs. Crops were levelled to the ground, roofing cut to ribbons. Rabbits, cats wood pigeons etc were killed. One hailstone was said to have weighed a quarter of a pound. At Dengie over 25 mm of rain fell in under 45 minutes.
In 1821 on this day snow was observed to have fallen in London yet in 2005 the mercury reached 31.9C.
